I’m pressed for time this week, and for once because of personal obligations which is good, so these are gonna be short posts.
I just wanted to post a note to myself for having passed another milestone. I put the finishing touches to an architecture last week (a couple of APIs, microservices, build servers and all the ansible/vagrant love to go with it) that is going out to 20 million people a month.
When I started, I put a little PHP file on the web and called it Digi27.
11 years later I’m deploying code that will seen by more people around the world in a single day than that site has had in it’s entire lifetime.
I still get the same thrill. I love making new things, trying new stuff. I suppose the whole point of this post is basically to say it’s pretty awesome getting to work on the big stuff in a small team.
P.S. If you wanna join me, we’re hiring.
