Coagulation

Right now my blood is pooling in a small plastic pouch, slowly rocking backwards and forwards as the anticoagulant prevents it from spoiling. It’s going to take a few minutes to draw the full unit. I’ll stand up, eat a chocolate bar and walk away. Continue reading »

One Mile

After one month of swimming following nearly a decade of being out of water, today I swam one mile at the local baths. It took me over an hour (72 minutes to be exact) but it’s the furthest I’ve ever done (a total of 2.1Km) and I’m definitely going to keep plugging away at it. My two goals now are to swim a mile in under an hour and run a mile in under six minutes.

My Favourite Song

Following on from a blog post by Steve Heyes, I decided to take a moment to think about what I would consider to be my favourite song, the one that defined who I am and that I’d love to hear forever. Luckily for me my Last.fm account has nearly 60,000 scrobbles, representing over five years of musical taste and history. Unfortunately, what I’d consider to be my number one song actually comes in at number three.

383/12

An era has come to an end. I have just completed my twelve month internship with the wonderful guys (and gals now!) at 383 Project. It has been an amazing experience and I can’t wait to rejoin the team when I complete my final year at Uni.

Download 2010

This year I finally did something I’ve wanted to do for a long time: attend the Download festival at Donington Park. Download is probably the only music festival in the UK I’d bother attending, so this year I bought a ticket for the Saturday and set off to meet Robbo, Rice and others who had been camping there since the Wednesday.
