2005-05-22. That’s the timestamp in the first docblock on digi27.com. Feels like an eternity ago. The site is… bad. Twenty year younger me was not a good coder (so some things don’t change). But as part of the fallout from Apple killing Flash, Digi27 has kind of been pointless for a while.

I’ve wanted to replay some of those old games for a while and stumbled upon RuffleJS recently. “Drop in a JS file and play old SWFs” sounded like a pipedream but it does. It just… works.

So I’ve quickly dropped a version into the site.

It’s not perfect. The size is too small. Fullscreen doesn’t work etc. But for 5 minutes work I’ve resurrected a twenty year old site and all the nostalgia it brings.
